PrintSupplyFinder ("we", "us", the "Site") is an independent, brand-neutral database of laminating films. This page explains what personal data the Site collects, why, and who handles it. Questions: hello@printsupplyfinder.com.
What we collect
Newsletter email
If you subscribe to the weekly email, we collect your email address and the page you signed up on. We use it only to send the newsletter and to manage your subscription. Newsletter and confirmation emails are sent from confirm@send.printsupplyfinder.com. Please don't reply to this address; write to hello@printsupplyfinder.com. To reach us, write to hello@printsupplyfinder.com. You can unsubscribe at any time from the link in any email, or by writing to us.
Access-key email
Browsing, search, filters and the table, compare and map views need no account. Bulk data downloads and programmatic (MCP) access need a free access key. To get one, you enter your email address; we send a confirmation link (double opt-in) from confirm@send.printsupplyfinder.com. When you confirm, we create one key per email address. We store the email address, a hashed copy of the key (never the key in readable form), the plan (currently "free"), when it was created or revoked, and usage counts (downloads and API calls) so we can apply fair-use limits.
Forms
If you use the "List your product / sponsor" form, we collect the details you type in (such as name, work email, company and message) so we can reply.
Analytics
We measure use of the Site with Vercel Web Analytics, including its custom events. It is cookieless and does not store IP addresses: it does not set cookies or store identifiers on your device, and visitors are counted using a short-lived hash that resets daily. We do not use it to identify you or follow you across other sites. We record page views and a small set of events (for example searches, filter changes, outbound link clicks, downloads, sign-ups, comparisons and map opens). Event details are simple counts and labels; they never include email addresses, access keys or other personal data. The analytics are processed by Vercel on our behalf and we see them in aggregate. Alongside Vercel Web Analytics, the Site keeps its own simple counter: it adds up how many times each kind of event happened each month (for example how often a search term or filter was used, or an outbound link was clicked). These counters are mirrored to our own database, with no IP addresses. They store totals only, with no cookies, no user agents and no record of individual visits, and they feed our monthly usage report. Search text is only ever shown to Vercel as a broad category (such as brand, size or finish). If your browser sends a Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signal, the Site sends no analytics events.
Server logs
Our host and service providers may keep short-lived technical logs (such as IP address, user agent and request time) for security, abuse prevention and rate limiting. Server logs are kept for 30 days.
Cookies
The Site sets no advertising or analytics cookies. It sets two strictly necessary cookies, both only after you confirm your email for the access gate, and both used so that downloads and API calls can be matched to your key. Neither is used for tracking.
| psf_session | httpOnly session cookie that keeps you signed in. Lasts 180 days, or until you clear it or your access is revoked. |
|---|---|
| psf_access | Lets the pages show that you are signed in without a server call. It holds your plan and the email address you confirmed, and is readable by the Site's own scripts only on this site. Lasts 180 days, or until you clear it or your access is revoked. |
Because they are strictly necessary for a service you asked for, we do not show a cookie banner.
Why we use your data (legal bases)
- Newsletter and access-key confirmation: your consent.
- Providing downloads and applying fair-use limits: our legitimate interest in running the Site, and performing the service you requested.
- Security, abuse prevention and aggregate analytics: our legitimate interest in keeping the Site safe and improving it.
Who processes data for us
| Resend | Email processor. Sends our newsletter and access-key confirmation emails from confirm@send.printsupplyfinder.com and holds the related contact list. |
|---|---|
| Vercel | Hosting and Web Analytics. Serves the Site, runs its server functions and processes cookieless page-view and custom-event analytics. |
| Neon | Database host (Postgres, provided through the Vercel Marketplace). Stores access-key records (email address, hashed key, plan and usage counts) and similar operational data. Hosted in US East (iad1). |
| OpenStreetMap | Map tiles. When you open the map view, your browser loads map tiles from OpenStreetMap's tile servers, which receive your IP address and user agent. The map keeps its OpenStreetMap attribution. |
We do not sell your personal data. We do not use it for advertising and we do not share it with sponsors. Sponsors never receive subscriber lists.
How long we keep it
Newsletter and access-key data is deleted within 30 days of an unsubscribe or a deletion request. Server logs are kept for 30 days. Aggregate analytics contain no personal data and may be kept longer.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or export your data, to object to or restrict certain uses, to withdraw consent at any time, and to complain to your local data-protection authority. To exercise any of these, email hello@printsupplyfinder.com. We will respond within the period required by applicable law.
International transfers
Our providers may process data outside your country. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses. Our providers' regions are in the United States.
Children
The Site is for people who work in print, sign and packaging. It is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect their data.
Changes
If we change this policy, we will update this page and its date. Related pages: Terms of use and Disclosures.
