Adhesive residue after a graphic comes off
Adhesive residue is glue left on the surface after the film is pulled. Time, heat, and an adhesive that was never meant to remove cleanly are the usual reasons.
Checks
- Read the film as removable or permanent before you promise a clean pull. A permanent adhesive is supposed to stay.
- Warm a stubborn film as you peel. Cold adhesive breaks and leaves more glue.
- Pull slowly and flat. A fast peel snaps the film and leaves the adhesive behind.
- Test a corner on the real surface. Paint, powder coat, and raw wall do not release the same way.
