Color shift between wide-format panels

Panel color shift is two panels of one job that do not match. A media change, a nozzle that dropped, or a different dry time between panels is enough.

Checks

  1. Print panels from the same media lot in one session when you can. A new roll in the middle of a wall is a different white.
  2. Run a nozzle check between panels. One dropped channel shifts the color of everything after it.
  3. Let panels dry the same amount of time before you judge them side by side. Wet ink is darker.
  4. Look at them in the light the sign will use. A match at the printer can fail on the wall.
