Marking in the delivery

Delivery marking is wet ink hitting a wheel, a skeleton, or the next sheet. Slow the pile, move the wheels off the solids, and give the ink a chance to set.

Checks

  1. Find the mark. A repeating wheel shape is the delivery, not set-off from the pile.
  2. Move wheels and brushes off heavy solids. A light tint hides a mark that a solid will show.
  3. Cut the pile height and spray only as much as the ink needs. Extra powder is its own defect.
  4. If the ink is still wet at the delivery, fix dry-down before you add more spray.
